March Meeting 3/3/2016

At the March meeting club members Jim Keller and Dave Johnson will be doing a tying demonstration.  We will have a projector setup so everyone will be able to watch on the big screen at the Nature Center.  Jim will be tying a pattern with wally wings and Dave will be tying an articulated pattern.

From Jim: Thanks to the Wally Wing you no longer have to cut out wings and burnish them or tie in a paired mallard set.  Now you can tie natural looking, strong wings from any upland bird in a matter of seconds.  With the aid of some water, herl bodies and wings easily transform into great looking, functional flies that catch fish.  Wings can be added to any size fly and can also function as posts for parachute patterns.  In addition, a quick review of the Mike George deer hair style fly will be demonstrated.
