Kansas Fly Fishing Challenge
This is a fun fishing challenge the club started. The goal was to push members to fish new waters and try targeting new species. Doing this will help you learn and develop new skills. The club has stopped tracking members progress, but this can be fun for people to do on there own.
Four levels of achievement
Bronze Level – Catch 6 fish species from the fish list
Sliver Level – Catch 12 fish species from the fish list
Gold Level – Catch 18 fish species from the fish list
Platinum Level – Catch 26 fish species from the list
Guidelines:
- All Participants entered must abide by all Kansas Wildlife and Parks fishing regulations.
- All fish must be caught using a fly rod, fly reel, fly line and fly.
- Participants can fish anywhere in Kansas and can use any type of watercraft.
- Safe handling of all fish at all times. All fish must be released back into the water.
- Soft plastics, bait and chumming are specifically excluded.
- There is no time limit, Complete the challenge at your own pace.
