The Flatland Fly Fishers February meeting we will have representatives from Project Healing Waters and Outdoor Mentors talking about what their organizations do locally and how you can get involved or help. The club is involved in helping both of these organizations.

Project Healing Waters – Project Healing Waters (PHW) Is A 501c(3) Nonprofit Organization Incorporated In Maryland That Is Dedicated To The Physical And Emotional Rehabilitation Of Injured And Disabled Military Service Personnel And Disabled Veterans Through Fly Fishing And Associated Activities Including Education And Outings.

Outdoor Mentors – To empower young people through outdoor experiences & mentorship. By using outdoor experiences as a platform to mentor young people of diverse backgrounds we are making a generational impact through the outdoors and passing on our outdoor heritage.
