This page is to list and explain the different plugins that were installed on this site.
Advanced WP Columns
- This is a simple plug that when editing a page or post give you the ability to add columns
- It added a column icon to available menu bar options when editing a page or post.
- There are a few settings that are controlled under the admin menu Settings -> Advanced WP Columns
Contact Form 7
- This plugin was used to create the contact forms for each of the board members
- Using forms hides email address so that spammers can’t pull them off the website
- There is a Contact admin menu to edit and setup new forms
Custom Post Widget
- This created the content blocks widget we are using on our home page
- It creates and admin menu called Content Blocks
- You can edit and create new Content Blocks with the admin menu
Delete Me
- This plugin was added so users have the option to delete themselves
- Settings are under admin menu Settings -> Delete Me
Frontier Post
- This plugin was added to be able to give logged in users the ability to create post
- It is being used on our site so that users can create fishing reports
- Options are controlled under the admin menu Frontier

Media Library Assistant
- This plugin was added so that we could add categories to our media library
- This was one of the simple ways found to help manage media
- The categories can be filters so it is easier to find what you are looking for
- Setting are under admin menu Settings -> Media Library Assistant
Meta Slider
- This plugin was added to do the scrolling list of sponsors
- It created a widget called meta slider
- It added an admin menu called meta slider
- This is where you can setup what images are shown, links to those sites
- There are other options to control speed, size, etc.
Nav Menu Roles
- This plugin was installed so that we can control what menus are visible on the site
- This is how some menus are hidden depending on if a user is logged in and what user permissions they have
Nested Pages
- This plugin was installed to make the pages menu easier to navigate
- It shows the pages in a nested format with options to close groups
- Settings are under the admin menu Settings -> Nested Pages
- It can be used to control site menu but found that hard to get working correctly
Peter’s Post Notes
- This plugin was installed so we can add notes to the edit section of a page
- Settings are under admin menu Settings -> Peter’s Post Notes
Search Exclude
- This plugin was installed so we can exclude pages from the search option
- Setup so any page that we didn’t want people to accidentally find using the search menu wouldn’t show up
- Thought was members area and pages that are used by tools like the on to login
TablePress
- This plugin was installed so we can create a table on a page if we want
- It creates an admin menu called Tablepress
- This is where you create and manage tables
- Currently using for the list of contacts
The Events Calendar
- This plugin was installed so we could create a calendar
- It does install an Events List widget which is being used in the side bar
- It creates and admin menu called Events
- You can use that to create new events, create save venues and change settings
- Allows multiple venues to be saved and when creating an event you just select it and it will display a google map
Theme My Login
- This plugin was installed to allow members to setup an account
- It creates a widget called Theme My Login which is being used in the sidebar
- Also has admin menu called TML where settings can be controlled
- Does create some pages like log on, log out, etc that are used by the tool. They can’t be removed or put under a parent page
ThemeZee Toolkit
- This tool was recommended to be installed by the theme we are using
